The Gustav Response

We are thankful for your prayers. We are planning on heading back into our area later today to start assessing needs. Our team will first assess the needs in the North Shore area next heading to southern parishes to do the same.

HOW CAN I HELP?
Please organize a team and come! We will be using the same process (and for now the same forms, paperwork, costs, etc as we have been using for Katrina Relief Teams. The link below will bring you to the team application packet.

To send a team:

  • Complete Team application packet (in pdf) CLICK HERE
  • Fax application packet in to 985-893-0175
  • AND email gustavrelief@efca.org
  • There will be a reduced charge of $120 per person/week for teams arriving in September
  • Churches or individuals who plan on organizing teams should email Katie Hooks at gustavrelief@efca.org
  • We need individuals to organize teams from their local church/area rather than coming as individual workers

WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT NEEDS?

  • We need MONEY
  • Current needs list on the right hand column of blog
  • We can arrange for delivery of pallet loads or gift in kind from most areas of the East or Midwest
  • We ARE NOT accepting clothing or shoes
  • Supply needs will be updated weekly, sometimes daily
